WATERVILLE, Maine - The Maine Children's Home for Little Wanderers announced that it has been awarded a donation of 100 pounds of lobster meat from Cozy Harbor Seafood in Portland to help raise funds for the agency's upcoming Lobster Roll fundraiser to benefit the organization's Christmas Program. The delivery of the lobster is scheduled for Thursday, October 14 at 2:00 p.m. at the Maine Children's Home for Little Wanderers in Waterville.

WHEN: 12:30 p.m. The delivery truck will leave Cozy Harbor Seafood in Portland 2:00 p.m.  The delivery truck will arrive at The Maine Children's Home for Little Wanderers in Waterville.

WHY: Cozy Harbor Seafood wanted to help support the Maine Children's Home for Little Wanderers Lobster Roll fundraiser that will raise money for their annual Christmas Program.

Based in Portland, the Cozy Harbor Seafood company buys, processes and distributes premium-quality fresh fish, lobster tails and lobster meat, live lobster, ready-to-cook seafood and case-ready seafood throughout the U.S, Canada and in parts of Europe.

Maine Children's Home for Little Wanderers employees and volunteers have pre-sold the lobster rolls to local businesses and organizations in the greater Waterville area. Volunteers will use the meat to make over 400 lobster roll sandwiches to deliver to local businesses in the area the next day. The cost of the lobster roll is $10 and 100 percent of the proceeds go to help fund the agency's Christmas Program, a program that distributes boxes of gifts and clothing to approximately 1,600 financially disadvantaged children throughout the state. It is the only program of its kind that provides new toys, books, games and new, warm clothing to boys and girls throughout Maine.
