Construction Trade Show April 11th and 12th in Augusta | Business
The Maine Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) will host Construction Expo of Maine, the state’s largest construction trade show at the Augusta Civic Center on April 11 and April 12. Proceeds from the Expo fund scholarships for Maine students pursuing construction-related fields of study.
Show hours are 12 Noon to 8 PM on Wednesday, April 11, and 8 AM to 4 pm on Thursday, April 12. This year’s show boasts over 170 exhibitors inside the Civic Center auditorium, and outside in the parking lot.
Seminars will be held on both days of the show on a variety of topics of interest to the construction community. Complimentary tickets to the show may be downloaded at the website as well.
NAWIC will also host its third annual Job Fair, Wednesday, April 11, 7:30 – 11:30 am in the South Wing of the Civic Center.
Over the last 30 years, over 300 students have benefited from NAWIC’s sustaining scholarship program, earning degrees in such disciplines as architecture, construction management, diesel mechanics, heavy equipment operators, welding, carpentry, and engineering, to name a few. Scholarships are open to any Maine student pursuing an education in a construction-related major at a technical college, or any other college or university.
