Waterville Main Street's biggest fundraiser of the year, their Winter Wonderland Gala, is coming to the Hathaway. This year's event will take place Wednesday, November 10th from 6-9 p.m. and will include a catered meal, live auction, silent auction and more! City of Waterville's vision will be displayed in branding unveiling at Hathaway

The Hathaway will be the venue on Thursday, November 4th at 6 p.m., following decisionmaking stakeholder meetings earlier in the day, for the public announcement of a new branding concept and strategy that will represent the future vision of the City of Waterville. The two-day collaboration, led by a prominent national branding firm, is funded by the Waterville Development Corporation, the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce, the City of Waterville, Waterville Main Street, KVCOG and the Central Maine Growth Council.

MAINE CREDIT UNIONS’ ENDING HUNGER WALKING TOUR PREPARES FOR ITS NINTH YEAR
 
(Westbrook) – On Thursday, October 28, at Penobscot County Federal Credit Union in Old Town, representatives from Maine’s credit unions will join Brenda Davis, Executive Director of Cross Roads Ministries, an Old Town-based hunger agency that serves thousands in Eastern Maine, at a pre-walk celebration for the Ninth Annual Maine Credit Unions’ Ending Hunger Walking Tour.

Mainebiz to honor the 2010 Next List at a reception on October 27

On Wednesday, October 27th, from 5-7 p.m. at the Augusta Civic Center, Mainebiz will host a reception to recognize the 10 men and women named to the eighth annual Mainebiz Next list. The members of the 2010 Next List are from Maine’s business, government and nonprofit sectors, and are helping to shape the future of the state’s economy. 11th Annual National Lights On Afterschool

On Thursday, October 21, Waterville area afterschool programs and other supporters will join a nationwide series of rallies for afterschool – the 11thannual Lights On Afterschool.  More than 15 million children are unsupervised each weekday after the school day ends, according to research from the Afterschool Alliance.

The Lights On Afterschool rally will feature the Waterville Chief of Police, Governor's staff, local businessman and mentor Chris Gaunce, Waterville Junior High Assistant Principal Kristin Gilbert, Colby mentoring participants, Congressional staff, and youth M.C.s.  Many local programs providing afterschool and summer learning opportunities will be exhibiting and participating in the festivities.

5th Annual Maine Green Home & Energy Show

Welcome to the 5th Annual Maine Green Home & Energy Show, Augusta Armory, Augusta, Maine, Exit 109, I-95, route 202, Western Ave. With plenty of FREE parking.  Show hours are Friday, October 15, 12 noon to 7pm, Saturday, October 16, 10am to 7pm, and Sunday, October 17, 10am to 4pm.
A special senior citizens day will be presented from noon to 7pm on Friday. Seniors 62+ get into the show for $5.00 per person (no coupons apply).
