Today, the Waterville Police continue to follow-up on leads stemming from the robbery of the Key Bank on Kennedy Memorial Drive in Waterville last Thursday.  Since the robbery, the department has received numerous leads requiring investigative time and effort.
The Police Department still requests that area residents call with any information that may be relevant to the case, no matter how trivial they believe their lead to be.  Detectives are investigating the possibility that the robber may have walked some distance to, and from, the bank in order to commit the robbery and then escape.  "Kennedy Memorial Drive and the surrounding area is a very high-traffic zone," said Deputy Chief Charles Rumsey.  "We are hoping that folks who may have been in that area any time on Thursday, February 21st take a close look at the person in the attached photos.  If you think you may have seen him, please give us a call."  Also, the Detectives are still requesting that any person or business who has possession of money with red or pink stains calls the station so an officer can respond to speak with them. Detective David Caron is the lead investigator in this case, and he can be reached at the Department's main phone number of 207-680-4700.  Anyone who believes that their information is urgent or time sensitive may call that number and ask to speak with a supervisor about the case.
